BVR & UNESCO, Celebration of the 1st International Day of the Intangible Cultural Heritage

November 25, 2024

BVR aims to highlight Africa as a continent of opportunities through the preservation of intangible cultural heritage. To achieve this, BVR is organizing a series of four conferences focused on key sectors: artificial intelligence & languages, culture & the circular economy, culinary arts & globalization, and entrepreneurship.

These conferences will be led by experts in their fields who have a deep understanding of local realities in various African countries (Congo, Senegal, Mali, Côte d’Ivoire).

These conferences will be a time for exchange and sharing, with the aim of raising awareness and demonstrating that the preservation of intangible heritage holds numerous sectors that can serve as leverage for young women and entrepreneurship. The overall theme of these conferences is: How can the preservation of culture be a lever for young women and entrepreneurship in Africa?

In parallel, we celebrated the launch of Bouger.Vivre.Réaliser Association (BVR ASSO), an association whose goal is to train African project leaders and entrepreneurs in best entrepreneurial practices with an approach adapted to local realities and contexts. Its slogan is: “It is not about charity but sharing.”

The goal is to train 2 to 3 cohorts of 20 participants each year across the African continent, reaching a total of 300 project leaders and entrepreneurs within 5 years :

  • Train between 40 to 60 participants per year in entrepreneurship
  • Raise awareness about the importance of transitioning out of the informal sector
  • Raise awareness about creating a circular economy adapted to local culture
  • Teach soft skills and emphasize the importance of competitiveness and differentiation
  • Promote the culture of dreaming and the importance of a strong mindset (failure and its benefits)
  • Raise awareness about the importance of excellence in the professional environment (culture of excellence: punctuality, giving feedback, etc.)
